HCEP Presents The Power of Cultural Education on Wellbeing Conference
An event for teachers, educators, cultural organisations, and freelancers to build knowledge and share best practice of the impact of wellbeing in cultural education.
Thursday 25th May 2023, 10.30 – 17.30, University of Hertfordshire, College Lane Campus
Improving access for young people to arts & culture is the key to meaningful long-term engagement. This one-day conference hosted by Hertfordshire Cultural Education Partnership (HCEP) will showcase speakers with a breadth of expertise in delivering wellbeing projects and provide opportunities for teachers and educators to come together and share learning as well as build and strengthen skills to enhance their own professional practice.
The day will include keynote speeches, provocations, performances and workshops, as well as opportunities for networking.
The conference programme will include:
· Measuring quality & impact of wellbeing in cultural education projects
· Gaining a deeper understanding of the way in which arts and culture can enhance young people’s wellbeing
· Exploring the importance of racial equity in education settings
· Strengthening authentic diversity within the arts
This event will provide a space to exchange ideas, forge new connections and strengthen skills.
This event is for teachers, educators, cultural organisations, and freelancers who play an active role in delivering work with and for young people.
